Dixie

dixie corson 001_1.jpg

Adopted 1/13/01- 06/04/11

Sweet, funny, loving chi-mix that was adopted from Alpha Canine Sanctuary. Dixie was always ready for belly rubs and treats. She gave a lot of love in return. I will forever be grateful for having her in my life. What a loyal friend she was. I miss her. Thank God that all dogs go to heaven. xoxoxo

Chester

12/31/94 - 07/26/11

We were so lucky to have had Chester in our family. We found Chester at the SPCA when he was only 9 months old and it was truly one of the luckiest day in our lives. He will live in our hearts forever.

Weenie

Weenie_1.JPG

Weenie was a wonderful pet. She was loyal to her family in the extreme ( to both the humans and the dogs in the family). She gave comfort and support freely. She was kind and gentle, but at the same time fearless and brave. She loved and protected her family members when necessary. She was always up for a road trip to the beach or to the mountains- never complaining about long trips in the car! She was my constant companion every morning and every evening. She slept near me every night and during car rides, always wanted to sit on my lap and help me drive! She was always positive and upbeat, always looking forward to the next adventure. She thought of herself as invincible and immortal. I thought of her that way myself. So, I choose to believe that her spirit is now with God and that she is running happily and freely, while playing with the angels. Weenie died on my lap on May 23, 2011. Just before she died, I asked her to save me a place in Heaven at her side. I loved her dearly and miss her terribly. She will always have a big space in my heart and in my memories.

We loved our Fatboy so much. it was very hard for us. Imax was my daughters first words out of her mouth. not momma or daddy. that shows how much max meant to us. We will miss him very much but we know he is in a better place.

                                       Peppy

Peppy_Jul_2__2011.jpg

DOB- Unknown but designated on February 14, 1997 - July 2, 2011

I brought him home from the Kern County Pound in Feb. 1997.   All I knew was that he was picked up by Walgreens on the east side of town, and his family never came to claim him.  What can I say, but that he was a “good dog”.  Rest in Peace little man.

 Tribute:
My dear Casper, all you ever did was to be sweet; no doubt  after 14 years on this earth you are back to your healthy happy self..

With you are lots of dog-friends and Grandpa. Hopefully,  Rick Laverty is playing with you right now. Uncle John and Auntie Bess will be happy to make you feel loved.
Please look around dog heaven for Petey, Twix, Snoopy, Oliver, Tomasina (the only cat allowed in Dog Heaven) and Andre.

...and eventually I will join you.

Love from Mom

Tumbleweed & Samantha (AKA Bubba)

DSC00119.JPG

Tumbleweed 1991-2008

Samantha 1996-2008

Both dogs were the best friends and companions.  Together they traveled over 120,000 miles across the United States and visited 9 states.  They knew how to order a whipped cream short cup at the drive-thru speaker at Starbucks and the barista’s understood what to get them.  After Bubba died, Tumbi was never the same and died of a broken heart 6 months later.   Their spirit lives on in our hearts.

Dexter

November 1997 to December 12, 2011

Dexter came to live with me from the Sacramento Pug Rescue group when he was six.  He has been my constant companion for the past 8 years.  He loved going to horse shows all over Northern California, playing with his stuffed animals and sleeping in the sun.  He brought joy and laughter to our family and will be greatly missed.  My heartfelt thanks goes out to the Doctors and staff  for their compassion and kindness during this heart wrenching time.

January 2000 - December 14th, 2011

In tears we saw you sinking,

We watched you fade away,

You suffered much in silence,

You fought so hard to stay,

You faced your task with courage,

You felt your hope descend,

But still you kept on fighting,

Until the very end.

God saw you getting tired,

When a cure was not to be,

So he put His arm around you,

And whispered, “Come with Me”

So when we saw you sleeping,

So peaceful, free from pain,

We could not wish you back

To suffer that again

Willy

willy_dog.jpg

IN LOVING MEMORY OF WILLY

Willy was his name and he was with us for 14 years
He came with no shame, just showed up and had no game
Our first impression was curious, never had a pet before
But Willy made us change that and much more....
He became our GENTLE GIANT, with eyes that never showed defiance
All he wanted was to be loved and cared for and sometimes just wanted to sit by the door
Pillows are made for humans but I swear Willy found a way to make it his own
He never showed aggression, just love and affection
One day our Dog, heard his calling to heaven and found a way to make it before January 7th
We miss you old dog, it was your time....but we have comfort in knowing you will be FINE.

Byron

12/99 - 1/23/2012

To My Dearest Family:

Please don't suffer for me.  My life with you was incredible, particularly since I came to you as a stray running cold winter streets.  I am so grateful for the effort you spent in easing my last weeks.  How I felt your love!  I must admit though, I have always had a special bond with dad and mostly just wanted to be by his side.  I was so grateful that before crossing the rainbow bridge Dad got to hold me in his arms.  I know you thought it was hard, but I was comforted.  I wish I could have played more with you during the last years, but alas my body couldn't keep up with my spirit.  As soon as you get here I will be waiting (with Lancelot, Sadie McJiggers, Homer, and Fred), and we will run as fast as the wind and I'll shower you with my kisses.   Until then, love the rest of the pack as you have loved me.

Byron (your little buddy Bdog)
