Cocoa 2003 – 2012

Rosie 2002 – 2013

These are our girls, Cocoa is the lighter one, Rosie is the Calico. We rescued them both from the SPCA before each was a year old. They were as different as night and day. Cocoa was the chubby little clown. She would often turn herself up side down, much like the picture, as her way of saying hello. She didn’t meow, she squeaked. When she jumped on the bed to wake us, she didn’t tip toe, she stomped. She didn’t lie down gracefully, she plopped down like a sack of potatos. There wasn’t a day that went by that Cocoa didn’t make me laugh. Rosie was the lady, the graceful one. She loved to run, and would often race through the house like a bolt of lightening, just because she wanted to run. She was playful and sweet. She had many distinct voices, and her meaning was unmistakable when she talked. I had coffee with Rosie sitting on my lap each morning. It was our routine. We are grateful for the time these two wonderful babies spent with us. We loved them. They enriched our lives, and we hope to see them again.
