Our hearts are heavy, but also full of so many wonderful memories with our sweet boy. We received Duke’s cancer diagnosis while on our honeymoon in October. Every day since he fought daily and rarely showed signs of discomfort or pain. Last week he let us know that it was time for him to run (and swim) in heaven pain free. Duke was a lover, a hunter, a companion and best friend to many. We will miss him terribly but are thankful for all of the cuddles, licks, laughs and love that he provided us over the years.
